Every day people are living their lives without a relationship with Jesus, and they are dying and going to Hell! The other day at RiverPoint I was talking with a group of people about who they know that doesn’t know Jesus and that doesn’t go to a church. The room was silent! I asked again. “Who do you know that doesn’t know Jesus and doesn’t go to a church?” The room remained silent! At that moment, my heart BROKE and is still broken.

What is happening is, many churched people have become too focused and concerned with themselves and we’ve lost our passion for those that are far from God! I am praying for a culture of passion in our church to reach people who are far from God with the life changing message of Jesus Christ.  When we see people give their lives to Jesus we want to lead them and help disciple them into fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

If you’re an attender at RiverPoint, I want to challenge you to look at people today and ask yourself this question…”Do They Need To Know Jesus?”

The answer is YES! We need to continue to look for opportunities to talk to everyone we come in contact with about Jesus and invite them to church! I’ve asked this before and I’ll ask it again…”If your relationship with Jesus was so life changing, why wouldn’t you want that for someone else?” The most important thing you can do today is get over yourself and reach someone for Jesus! No matter what you are doing right now, take a moment and pray and ask God to give you the courage to go and talk to someone about Jesus!
