• It’s been a great summer.
• God has been blessing our church.
• We are continue to see growth – numerically & spiritually!
• We bought a 13,000 sq. ft. building a couple of months ago, and now we are selling it to the state of Kansas.
• It’s all good, because God has done something amazing through the purchase & selling of that building.
• More on the building later.
• Our current series is DISCIPLE and it’s been one of the best.
• Our church is amazing.
• We start SERVOLUTION in a couple of weeks and I can’t wait!
• I’ve been looking at our video we did during the message last Sunday.
• It’s pretty good. But we have some improvements to work on.
• And yes, there was a HUGE wasp flying around my head while I was preaching.
• I thought it was HUGE! It looked like a bus with wings! I hate wasps!
• I’m totally excited about this fall at RiverPoint!
• We’re holding a GroupLink event on Sunday, October 3 at 6:30 p.m.
• I love what GOD is doing in my life right now and love where He’s leading!

1) MOVING ON UP! | THIS WEEKEND!
During this weekend your kids may be moving to a new environment in our Kids & Student Areas! If your child is starting 1st Grade in the Fall, they will be going to PlanetShakers! If your child is starting 6th Grade in the Fall, they will be moving to our Student Ministry! If you have any questions, please see someone on one of our volunteer teams!

2) Man2Man Men’s Retreat | August 13 & 14
Men! Step up to the plate and discover how you can be a man of Godly character. During the Man2Man Retreat, you will learn how to become a loving husband and Godly father, build accountability with others, and lead your family with vision and passion.

What is SERVOLUTION? [SURV-UH-LOO’-SHUN]

A Servolution is not an event; it is a culture. Infusing this culture into the DNA of your church will change the view of the world and your perspective of the needs of those around you. This movement is rumbling throughout the body of Christ – a revolutionary army of people ready to take up this mandate. We are actively pursuing the lost, the forgotten, and the poor to show them a God who is passionately in love with them. We stand ready with one heart, saying, “I will serve others and show them the hope they can have in Jesus.”

SERVOLUTION DATES TO MARK
**Takin’ It To The Streets – August 26 @ 6:30 p.m. Meet at RiverPoint Church to help us go door to door and place to place to pray for and meet people with the heart of a servant.

**SERVOLUTION DAY – Saturday September 25 @ 9:00 a.m. Meet at RiverPoint Church for a day of serving in our community. There will be opportunities to sign up for the different areas of service soon. So be on the look out for the SERVOLUTION Table!

**SERVOLUTION CELEBRATION – Saturday September 25 at 5:30 p.m.! Join us for a Night Of Worship & Celebration for SERVOLUTION at The Fox Theater in downtown Newton!

4) KIDZ TAKE OVER | Sunday September 26!!!!
PlanetShakers (Grades 1-5) will be taking over the main service.  We’re asking the parents to bring their kids into the auditorium so that they can sing and hear the message as a family. (BTW…if you are single, OR you don’t have kids I promise you that you will absolutely LOVE that day…it will be a BLAST!!!!)

1. CONFESSIONS | Continues this weekend
Last weekend Tim Beougher preached a message that I think we all needed to hear. We all struggle with trusting God in many areas of our life, but that’s not where God wants us to be. This weekend Steve Cooper will be preaching a message that you won’t want to miss. In case you miss any of our messages, you can listen online here.

2. Summer Giving @ RiverPoint Church
Don’t let your tithing/giving go on vacation. You may give to the church using eGive or by mailing in your offering during the summer when you’re on vacation!

It’s time to begin making your payment(s) to RiverPoint Church this weekend!

1) TURN YOUR CELL PHONE OFF – If you have a cell phone and you bring it to one of our weekend worship experiences, I would like to ask you to please TURN OFF your phone during worship. It’s been getting a bit distracting the past few weeks when phones go off. So please TURN OFF YOUR PHONES!

2) ADOPT A SOLDIER – This weekend at RiverPont Church. If you have an immediate family member serving in the armed forces state-side or overseas, we would be honored to adopt them. It is our deisre to offer a channel by which to communicate  encouragement and express gratitude to the brave men and women serving our nation. These men & women are fighting for us, and we want thank them by lifting them up in prayer and encourage them in any way we can by sending a care package.
At the end of our services on July 3 and 4 we will be collecting a love offering to puchase supplies to send to our soldiers.

5) RiverPoint Church @ East Lake | July 25! – RiverPoint Church will NOT be holding services on Saturday July 24! However, Please Join Us On Sunday, July 25 at 11:00 a.m. for a day at EAST LAKE! This is going to be an awesome day at the East Lake for the entire family. 
There will be food, games, connecting with friends and family and we’ll celebrate with those who have recently given their life to Jesus Christ and would now like to be baptized.

Our upcoming NEXT STEPS Gatherings will begin on Sunday, June 6 and runs for 4 consecutive weeks.

Step 1. Belonging | Sunday June 6 at 2:00 p.m.
This is a beginning step into the life of RiverPoint Church. During this session you’ll be able to meet the staff and get a chance to hear how God started our church.

Step 2. Connecting | Sunday June 13 at 2:00 p.m. Prerequisite: Step 1
This 2nd step is all about our LIFEGroups! RiverPoint Church is committed to a culture of community. True spiritual growth takes place as we build relationships in settings that encourage transparency and openness. LIFEGroups meeting together in people’s homes on a regular basis provide that setting.

Sunday, June 20 is Father’s Day so we’re not going to meet. However, we will meet the follow week to combine Steps 3 & 4!

Step 3 & 4. Serving & Partnering | Sunday, June 27 at 2:00 p.m. Prerequisite: Step 2
Step 3 & 4 is a highlight of the NEXT STEPS process. During this session you’ll hear about all of the great opportunities to connect with one of our volunteer teams to use your gifts to serve God and serve others at RiverPoint Church. We will also give you an opportunity to partner with our church.
