Jesus has done more in the past year of ministry here at RiverPoint Church than any of us ever thought possible…and I know there’s more.
Ephesians 3:20-21 (ESV) Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
These two verses keep running over and over again in my mind…and I keep dreaming of a church…
Where the ministry …

I found this on Lifeway.com and it is a great help in dealing with difficult people in your church. (Your church does have at least one difficult person, right?!)
Can you identify any of these folk in your church?
Brooks Faulkner, Pastoral Ministry Specialist, at LifeWay Christian Resources, identifies nine types of difficult people and the usual effect they have on people.

One of the dreadful consequences of division is lack of successful evangelism. Division depletes and diminishes our ability to reach those far from God. In Jesus’ prayer for unity, he asks:
“I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.” (John 17:20-21)
Unity enhances and extends our influence to …

Trust me, you HAVE TO WATCH this! If you do not know Matt, he’s an amazing pastor in Texas that recently had brain surgery at 35 years old. Matt is one of the pastors I listen to each week and his story over the past few weeks has had me stop and re-evaluate and pray through many things.
Join the thousands praying for Matt and his family, but pray also for the ministry he will have as a result of this time in his life.

2 Corinthians 8:1-7
1And now, brothers, we want you to know about the grace that God has given the Macedonian churches. 2Out of the most severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity. 3For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own, 4they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the saints. 5And they did not do as we expected, but they gave themselves first to the …

Every Sunday our entire Leadership Community meet together for our Team Huddle. This is usually 30 minutes before each service begins. The huddle usually takes about 10 minutes, and they are a valuable time for leaders to connect with each other before we get to our environments to connect with our attenders. We adapted the format of these meetings from LifeChurch.tv. Every huddle meeting contains the following:
Vision – We remind people that their volunteer team helps advance the vision of RiverPoint Church. We also talk about LIFEChange stories that happened …

Next to Jesus, my wife and family are my priority.
This post and this post from Perry Noble was great.
Prayer really works. If you don’t believe me, try it sometime and find out.
A weekly day off is needed today! Thank you God.
Our church is growing and I’m quickly realizing we need to make some changes. Please pray for me during this time.
Follow the example of Jesus, and let your time alone with God, in prayer, set the agenda for you life.
I’m so thankful that RiverPoint Church is a church that welcomes …
