Today I’ve been praying for the people in Haiti. I’m seeing pictures and reading news reports about all the devastation and destruction and today my heart is heavy. There are so many people, God’s people, right now that are hurting in Haiti because of this earthquake. I believe this is a HUGE opportunity for the Church to reach out and make a difference!

Every day people are living their lives without a relationship with Jesus, and they are dying and going to Hell! The other day at RiverPoint I was talking with a group of people about who they know that doesn’t know Jesus and that doesn’t go to a church. The room was silent! What Is Hope Fest?
A coalition of area community groups, churches and local organizations are joining together to provide HOPE Fest 2009. According to organizers, participants can enjoy the free KidZone with inflatable games, juggler, clown, hand painting, and pirates to duel! Free haircuts, oil changes for single moms and widows, jars of peanut butter & jelly, clothing, and live music from area artists, …

This is one of the greatest events in the history of RiverPoint Church! This event lines up with one of our core values, SERVICE: The church will see its greatest influence by being servants to the community. We will constantly strive to reach out to our community with acts of kindness for the purpose of showing the love of Christ.

Due to my terrible spelling, let me try again.
Last year a bunch of us went to Judgement House at Grace Community Church in Newton, KS. It was awesome and we got to see hundreds of students and adults give their life to Jesus Christ. If you’re in the area, check them out. They do an incredible job and reach thousands of people. The people were friendly, the lines went fast and the church just plain rocks! If you cannot attend, then PRAY for them!
